I just remembered, I'm back in blogger mode. It's been a busy day and it's still not finished as I'm reading stuff to be better informed about one of our clients.

One of the books I'm reading, on my ipad, which I just love and I'm wondering how I managed without it, is Words Can Change Your Brain. There's lots of brain research now showing the effects words, relaxation exercises, different communication strategies and lots more have on how we think and behave. I'm passionate about this stuff and it's really interesting how my thinking changes to being more positive even just by reading this book.

This morning I did a couple of relaxation and meditation exercises from the book before I started work and I was better able to focus on what I was doing; I was more creative when I started to write for a client and a major limiting belief that's been around for just a little while, since I was in my middle teens, lost it's grip - for today anyway. Tomorrow is a really early start, so I'll be up early to get the meditation in!

I was going to explain for new readers the name of the blog. It comes from a poem, often mis-attributed to Guillaume Apollinaire but written by Christopher Logue.

Come to the Edge - Christopher Logue

Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It's too high!
COME TO THE EDGE!
And they came,
And he pushed,
And they flew.

I first read this poem in about 1997 or thereabouts - I saw it on a card, bought it for myself and stuck it on my wall. The original card is still around somewhere in storage boxes.

Last year it became really significant for me when I was working with Coach Phil Evans of www.peoplestuff.com.au You'll find the poem on the bottom of the home page. There were a few times when Phil pushed me and I flew so it seemed an appropriate name for my blog - for both reasons.

Singing my soul came from a walk one day in Wodonga - writing and walking this particular day my soul sang and it's singing again now I'm back blogging. Till tomorrow!
