Yes, it has been awhile since I've written here. I've been prompted by several things. One was realising how far off track I had gone over the last few weeks and making an effort today to get back there in many ways. Another was some people telling me how much they looked forward to my blogs and how they were missing them - thank you Charlie, Ris and Keely. I also realised that I was missing the writing and the commitment to write each day so here I am again.

Yesterday I walked to the beach and it happened to be low tide so I was able to walk south, over the rocks to the next beach. I wandered through the rock pools, took a few photos, relaxed, enjoying the total experience. There was more enjoyment when I returned to the beach - a double scoop of gelati - hazelnut and boysenberry cheesecake - yummo as Bob, and now I, would say.

On Friday night I shared a special bottle of wine with Ris and Scott. Tim sent it to me from Italy for my birthday in 2011. It had been carefully nurtured all that time, lying down as it was sealed with a cork, in the coolest place I could find in Brisbane and since then. I was concerned it had got a bit hot on my travels so I decided to drink it and to share it with friends who would appreciate it as a special wine. And a special wine it was so thank you Tim. I have the bottle sitting here - Vino Nobile di Montepulciano - Riserva 2006.

It looks like I'm settling here in Newcastle - insurances have been transferred to NSW, the car is being repaired so it can be registered in NSW next month, and I'll change everything else over too.

More stuff to do to get myself totally back on track so I'll finish now and write again tomorrow.
